Thomas Lawson was born Tillicoultry, County of Clackmannanshire and attested for service 8/7/1885 at Hamilton, Scotland at the age of 22 years & 11 months. In Court Awaiting Trial 17/2/1897, imprisoned 8/3/1887 to 8/3/1889 for 'Drunkeness' whilst serving in India. Served South Africa 1/1/1900 to 19/7/1902. Discharged 30/7/1902.
