C1840s PERCUSSION BLACK POWDER PISTOL SIGNED NOCK LONDON
A 17 bore English percussion holster pistol, c 1840, signed ‘Nock London’. 8” browned Damascus twist barrel with flat top in good condition, blade foresight and notch rear sights to patent Breech. Swivel ramrod works freely and in good condition. Dolphin hammer and half cock safety bolt both work perfectly. The walnut stock with chequered bag shape grip in good condition. Steel furniture shows great age and are in fantastic condition as well as being adorned with beautiful filigree. Samuel Nock was the nephew of the famous Henry Nock, Nock was a gun maker to no less than four successive monarchs, George III, George IV, William IV and Queen Victoria.
