MODEL 1889 WW1 GERMAN OFFICERS ETCHED 10TH FIELD ARTILLERY REGT SWORD & SCABBARD
Pre WW1 era German Army 1889 Pattern ‘10th Field Artillery Regiment’ Officer’s sword & scabbard. Silver plated nickel D shaped hilt, plain backstrap (light wear) & quillon, with black ribbed wooden grips. Very fine condition 85cm long, slightly curved nickel blade shows etching to both sides, with trophies of arms, horse profile, spiked helmets in wreaths, regimental crest, with Konigl. Bayr. 10. Feld Art. Regt. (Königlich Bayerisches 10. Feldartillerie-Regiment – 10th Kingdom of Bavaria Field Artillery Regiment), opposing etching shows service time remembrance bandeaus. Comes with fine condition plated nickel scabbard, retaining single suspension ring. A good service time presentation sword, of fine pre-war quality. Overall length: 102cm.
