Offered is an exceptionally rare Luftwaffe Hermann Göring Division Panzer wrapper tankers jacket. Features black wool & rayon blend construction, waist length, double-breasted style, tunic with fold back lapels and a large laydown collar. The left front closure panel of the tunic has four large hidden black buttons and an additional three visible button eyelets on the fold back lapel. The right front closure panel has all four large and all the smaller corresponding buttons intact. The edge of the right front closure panel has an additional two small buttons positioned underneath the overlapping left closure panel with two corresponding internal fabric loops for a secure closure with a neat appearance. The tunic also has a single metal hook and eye positioned at the forward neckline for a secure closure. The collars show tabs for the H.G. insignia with a white woollen base with aluminium panzer skull & crossbones. Both tabs are machine sewn to fabric.
Awards loops for one award to the left breast. The straight cut sleeve cuffs each have a small, vertical, outside seam, slash with dual, fit adjustment buttons to each. The lower right arm retains the sewn on Hermann Göring dark blue cotton cuff title with the left upper arm showing machine stitched single rank chevron. Black woollen slip on shoulder straps for a Panzerschütze, with white piping. The tunic has a large, pointed tipped, lay down collar with the typical zig-zag reinforcement stitching to the reverse. The right breast retains the 2nd pattern enlisted cotton eagle with a swastika which has been machine stitched in place. The tunic is lined with light brown cotton with Rbnr# and dated 1944. Coat pocket remains in the lining. Sized 96/36.
