WW2 German Mothers Cross in bronze. Enameled translucent-blue with a slim opaque-white border (chip to bottom central arm), resting on the centre radiant starburst rays is a metal roundel decorated with the words ‘DER DEUTSCHEN MUTTER’ (To the German Mother) around an enameled black straight centred swastika symbol, infilled white enamel. Inscribed on the reverse side of the cross is the date of the decoration decree 16. Dezember 1938 (December 1938). Directly beneath is the inscribed signature of Adolf Hitler. The bronze class was awarded to German mothers who showed exemplary motherhood, and who conceived and raised four to five children in the role of a parent. This cross is in fantastic condition with no damage what so ever.
