Offered is an original British Army 1870’s-era Hussar Officer’s fur busby. Features Brown fur pile, generally very good overall, with toned gold bullion woven cap chords tied around centre base, with oval bullion base for the very large white feather & horse hair plume and gilt bullion chord adorned red bag. Lined in leather & carmine silk in service worn condition, being maker-marked for Brown, Son & Rowntree of London with internal leather carry strap (one side detached). A good conditioned period piece, which would be a great addition to your uniform collection or centre piece.
