Description

***SOLD***

1967 Anzac Commemorative WW1 Gallipoli Medal/Plaque to R. Borradale. The plaque is correctly engraved named to R. C. BORRADALE. Richard Charles Borradale enlisted on the 19th August 1914, serving with F Company, 8th Battalion. He reached the rank of Corporal and discharging in 1919. His brother Matthew also served with the 8th Battalion, dying of wounds 18th May 1917 at Bullecourt. Most likely Richard would have been fighting in the same battle when his brother was killed.
