Reginald Luke Thomas Smith is confirmed for his entitlement to the medal and clasp. Medal comes with summary service paperwork. Also entitled to B.W.M. for service with the 5th Battalion of the Hampshire Regiment during WW1.

The medal was instituted on 1 January 1909 for service in campaigns on India’s borders. The ‘Afghanistan N. W. F. 1919’ clasp was awarded for service in that area during the Third Afghan War from 6 May to 8 August 1919 & the‘Waziristan 1921-24’ clasp for service in Waziristan between 21 December 1921 and 31 March 1924.
