SOLD A near mint example of a Third Reich period 4-Year Long Service award; a bronzed aluminum medal; the obverse depicting a spade with a mobile swastika and two wheat stalks in a “V” formation; the reverse inscribed “Für treue Dienste im Reichsarbeitsdienst” (For loyal services in the National Labour Service); on a loop for suspension from its period original sewn ribbon. Accompanied by its original presentation case of issue; constructed of cardstock with a faux leather (leatherette) exterior; the exterior of the lid embossed with the numeral “4” in silver; measuring 73 mm x 95 mm.
