Offered is an exceptional naval presentation dagger, featuring a finely etched blue and gilt blade. This truly awesome presentation dagger shows the manufacture mark of Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. The Dagger is the 2nd pattern naval type, as awarded to senior german naval officer's with the rank of Admiral. The daggers features finely gilded brass eagle and swastika pommel, twisted wire wrap to ivorine grip and ornate cross guard, featuring floral designs set with a central anchor and rope. The fine 25 cm long blade, features a double sided blue and gilt inlayed engraving, firstly of a pocket battleship and to the reverse, an eagle with swastika on anchor, above the Wilhelmshaven BDU building. A fine etching overall, something which mere pictures do not do justice. The dagger is finished off with a triple wrapped silver bullion portepee knot and stylised double suspension hanger gilded brass scabbard.
