RARE PRE WW1 BRITISH BOER WAR SERVICE MEDAL BRISTOWN TOWN GUARD
Offered is a Boer War Queen’s South Africa Medal, as awarded to Sergeant J.E. Duggan, who served with the Bristown Town Guard during the Boer War. Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, no clasp, impressed named to SERJT. J. E. DUGGAN. BRISTOWN T.G. Beautiful toning overall & in exceptionally fine condition. Medal comes with entitlement paperwork. Approximately 21 Medals were awarded to the unit, thus making this a rare medal to the unit, especially given Duggan may have well been the only Sergeant within the unit. Medal entitlement papers confirm issue & scarcity of numbers within the unit. J. E. Duggan was issued this medal on 21/1/1910, it being sent to PO Box 737, Johannesburg, South Africa.
