RARE WW2 GERMAN ARMY KS98 PARADE BAYONET, SCABBARD & FROG EICKHORN SOLINGEN DOUBLE STAMPED
Offered is an WW2 DK 98 “Dress” KS98 pattern bayonet with scabbard & hand carved stag-horn grips by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen with suppliers stamp & Infantry dagger knot. Bayonet features nickel guard and birds-head pommel with working release button, hand carved deer horn grips secured with steel pins. The 25cm long nickel-plated steel is maker stamped with 2nd suppliers stamp to Fahnen Reuter of Munster on the obverse side. The blade is non sharpened with a fine finish to surface. Rolled steel scabbard with light rust patina to black dress paint surface. Completed with age crackled patent leather frog and excellent wool army frog hanger, unit colouring to 8th Komp. Overall length: 36.5cm, in scabbard 40.5cm. A good used example of a WW2 German army dress bayonet, as used with the classic K98 service rifle for parade purposes or worn as part of your dress uniform when on leave.
