Original full sized Belgian Congo Service Star. Unnamed as issued. A five pointed star with ball finials on the points. The arms of the star show patina to the pebbled background. Obverse: In the central medallion a monogram of King Albert on a central white enamel dome. Reverse: On the central madallion the inscription ‘TRAVAIL ET PROGRES’ (Work and Progress). The medal is fitted with a ring suspender and a piece of 38 mm light blue watered ribbon that has a separate pebbled gold slide (service) bar. Comes with the original makaer marked award box.
