VINTAGE WW2 GERMAN ARMY 1935 RE-ISSUE COMBAT UNIFORM HELMET NS62

Model 1935 size 62 (approx. 54/55) WW2 German 're-issue' combat helmet with liner.
The helmet shell retains the majority of it's refinished field grey paint scheme, with seperate ventilation lugs and liner split pins. You will note the original paint scheme is showing through underneath the rough refinished paint scheme.
The internal liner is in very good, light brown pig leather, with drawstring etc. Maker stamped NS62 (Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke AG, Schwerte) and rear skirt stamped D N6. These early prioduced helmets were brought back into service from late 1943 to 1945 to alleviate the shortage of new helmets coming from the factories for troops. The refinished rough texture did not reflect the sun and draw attention to the wearer as the previous smooth finished helmets did. A very good example.
