Peter Hamilton was born in County Wexford, Ireland, on 28/9/1883 and enrolled in the Royal Naval Reserve in 4/11/1907. He saw extensive service during the Great War aboard the sloop Rinaldo, composite-screw corvette Satellite, and hired Banff drifter Lavantera, the last whilst stationed at Invergordon. After the war, he returned to working on coalers off the east coast of Ireland; sold with coped service record.
