The ricasso is stamped with Arabic characters denoting manufacture and date for 1909. The sword is complete with original steel scabbard with single fixed hanging ring. The scabbard has nice patina throughout with only 1 very small dent and light weathering overall. Overall length: 10.

An exceptionally rare sword, most commonly souveniered by Australian and British forces who fought the Turkish Cavalry in the Sinai/Palestine operations in 1917 and up through Jordan and Syria in 1918. These simply do not come up for sale.
