WW1 GERMANY PRUSSIAN UNIFORM SPIKED HELMET PICKELHAUBE
Offered is a very good condition WW1 enlisted German Pickelhaube. This lovely piece retains the 1 piece brass Prussian helmet plate, with pre war detailed features. The lacquered leather shell is in exceptionally good condition, showing only light wear and minor crazing. The original cockades are present, with the original leather chinstrap with twin buckles firmly attached. The circular spike base retains the ventilated spike top. The domed rivets are all present and hold all the metal features firmly in place. The rear spine and ventilator are present. The original brown leather liner is present with all fingers showing light wear, mainly to the rare section. Helmet plate is held by leather swatches and pegs to rear, showing no extra holes. The front and rear skirt are firmly attached, showing the original heavy stitching and slightly loose grey front visor trim. Size stamped 55 and regimentally marked. This Prussian helmet is in very good condition, with all the original parts, which is generally not the case with these 100 year old pieces.
