In H.M.S. Fox Scarratt saw extensive service in the Persian Gulf, and afterwards participated in the support operations of the Indian Army landings at Tanga, East Africe, in November 1914, and in the subsequent hunt for the Konigsburg, in concert with H.M.S. Goliath. During the war he also served afloat in H.M.S. Sutlej, January 1916 to August 1917, and in H.M.S. Riviera, armed merchantman and seaplane tender on the Dover Patrol from February 1918. Also entitled to 1914-15 Star. Sold with copied record of service.
