The die struck, bronze-washed alloy badge, a hinged pin is to the top of its hollow-backed reverse, and a corresponding catch is to its base. “Gesetzlich Geschützt” (By-law Protected), and the manufacturer’s name and location, L. Chr. Lauer Nürnberg-Berlin is embossed to the back. This award came in three grades, gold, silver and bronze and was awarded for merit or long service in some kind of equestrian establishment.
