Aluminum, one-piece constructed belt DRK buckle. Introduced in January of 1938, it features, against its pebbled, obverse field, an eagle with down-swept wings, clutching a Balkan cross in its talons and with a mobile swastika to its breast, all surrounded by an open-topped wreath of laurels. The raised buckle catch, prong bar and dual prongs are all intact. Reverse is marked “Ges. Gesch 1. for Gesetzlich Geschützt.
