WW2 GERMAN POSTAL OFFICIAL’S SERVICE PEAKED SERVICE CAP (DEUTSCHES REICHS POSTE)

Offered is a very fine example of the not often seen civil official's Deutsche Reichs Poste peaked cap. Worn by postal official's during the Third Reich. Cap features dark blue wool body, free of any damage and dark blue velvet centre band. Burnt orange piping overall. Silver washed aluminium cap eagle and wreath with cockade are present. Leather chinstrap with buckles and side buttons in excellent firm condition. Peak is also excellent as is the interior, showing thin thatched liner, with makers mark for K. Luther of Regensburg, printed under the celluloid central diamond. Sized 57 1/2. Leather sweatband is excellent, with light use. Excellent shape and a standout piece for the collector of the civil caps.
