Solid nickel Cross guards Gau stamped I for Ostland. 1st pattern, maker marked to the blade by C Bertram & Sohn Reinhard, Solingen-Wald. Blade measures 22cm and is in good condition, good crisp motto –Meine Ehre heißt Treue (my honour is loyalty).
