Offered is an original King Edward 7th era (1901-1910), 1887 pattern British heavy cavalry sword by Edward Thurkle of London. Features a superb and solid, heavy cavalry pattern guard with shagreen & wire grip, plain ball topped pommel with checkered steel back-strap. 88.5cm long blade is in good condition with laurel leaf etchings running 1/2 the length of both sides of the blades surface, etched royal arms & crowned royal cypher for Edward VII to centre, all etching showing polish wear.
