Offered is a scarce 1901 – 1910 issued Australian Army officer’s sword 1897 pattern from W. Chorley & Co SYDNEY NSW.  1897 pattern plated hilt with Edward 7th Royal cartouche and dark wrap with wire twist grip. 80.8cm Sydney retailer etched name to ricasso, superbly etched unsharpened blade with Kings Crown and Coat of Arms, numbered 449 to spine. Brown leather scabbard with scuffing wear to surface, metal mounts with worn nickel and blade slides in very nicely. Complete with broad arrow stamped sword frog, damage to straps.
