VINTAGE WW2 GERMAN SA STORM TROOPERS DAGGER & SCABBARD GIESEN & FORSTHOFF SWORD

Offered is an original German S.A. (Brown shirts/storm trooper’s) Model 1933, 1st pattern, enlisted man’s dagger by the rarely seen maker Giesen & Forsthoff of Solingen. Features a very good mulitcoloured brown wood grip, which fits the cross guards beautifully, showing one small chip to obverse, retaining both nickel eagle and roundel, both of which sit firmly in the grip. Cross guards are correct nickel type, the reserse left showing a small nick, with Gau stamp ‘Wf’ (Westfalen). Offered is an original German S.A. (Brown shirts/storm trooper's) Model 1933, 1st pattern, enlisted man’s dagger by the rarely seen maker Giesen & Forsthoff of Solingen.

Features a very good mulitcoloured brown wood grip, which fits the cross guards beautifully, showing one small chip to obverse, retaining both nickel eagle and roundel, both of which sit firmly in the grip. Cross guards are correct nickel type, the reserse left showing a small nick, with Gau stamp ‘Wf’ (Westfalen). The very good condition etched “ 'madschen' marked (Giesen & Forsthoff of Solingen) blade measures 22 cm with clear etched motto “Alles fur Deutschland” (All for Germany). Much of the original cross graining is still present. 1st pattern scabbard retains nickel throat & chape, with little if any of the anodised finish, showing light pitting marks/wear, whilst retaining a period double leather hanger & suspension clip. A generally very good condition dagger, with a McSarr rarity rating of 7/10.
