Offered is an original 1919 dated Australian made First World War era 1907 pattern bayonet with scabbard and 3rd Military Districts Markings. Features steel fittings, with pommel & working release button all well blued, lightly used, beautifully preserved wooden grips. The blued cross-guard is stamped 3MD to the 3rd Military District. 43cm long sharpened steel blade shows crisp Lithgow “A”star and shield stamps with 1919 dating and surface has excellent blued finish. Standard leather & metal WW2 issued scabbard, showing good honest use to the leather body, nicely finish with a green frog hanger. Overall length: 57.5cm long. A good used example...
