Original WW1 Iron Cross 1st class with the 1939 clasp jeweller attached. Medal measures 76 mm x 46 mm, pin to rear and maker marked for C.E. Junker of Berlin. A rare medal in good condition and as referred to on page 174 of the book “The Iron Cross of 1939” by Gordon Williamson. The Clasp to the Iron Cross (Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz) was a metal medal clasp displayed on the uniforms of German Wehrmacht personnel who had been awarded the Iron Cross in World War I.
