RARE WW1 GERMAN M17 DARK GREEN STEEL COMBAT UNIFORM HELMET WITH LINER

Offered is a very good condition WW1 German Steel Helmet with liner.
This Model 1917 helmet is sized 66 (approx. size 57/58) and retains the majority of it's dark green protective finish. The helmet itself shows no dents, with minor wear scratches etc. The ventilation lugs are correct for the size and one has felt stuffed into it (perhaps to stop rust in the vents?). The metal liner band is nice and tight, with no movement with the split pins. The original leather liner is present, with the horse hair pads still present. One pad has previously been repaired and shows a tear (can be repaired). Pads show field use and dirt and sweat marks. The original chinstrap suspenders are present on their posts, but chinstrap not present. The inner shell is stamped Si66 (Manufacturer: Eisenhüttenwerk Schlesien, Paruschowitz/ Oberschlesien) to the inner right panel and further stamped Bi 701. Overall a very good, uncleaned and original helmet with liner.
