Medals are court mounted for display, with Burt's S.W.B. sewn to ribbon of victory, missing pin. Also included is the medal box issued with the medals.

Wilfred Burt lived in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and served in the South African Army, serving in German South West Africa and the rebellion in the Orange Free State. He was subsequently commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant, with the Northumberland Fusiliers, fighting in France from 7th January 1918 and being invalided to the UK on the 8th March 1918 as a result of wounds sustained.
