WW1 GERMAN NAVAL CONTRACT CUTLASS SWORD ARGENTINE NAVY SABRE M1898

Offered is a high quality German Contract 1898 Cutlass Pattern Argentine Naval sword. The sword features a full molded steel grip with “D” guard, “RA”(Republica Argentina) with 376 serial number, Argentine crest removed as per military stores surplus dictates.The very wide 66.7cm long slightly curved, single fuller shows very faint etchings to the Republic, surface shows light signs of age and polish wear, clear stamping to the German Imperial manufacturer WEYERSBERG KIRSHBAUM & Co of Solingen.  Overall length 81.5cm to this very serious naval marine cutlass.  This is a big , meaty & rare navy cutlass of superb German construction which would display well.
