RARE WW2 1944 DATED AUSTRALIAN OWEN GUN LITHGOW BAYONET WITH SCABBARD

Offered is a 1944 dated Second World War era Australian Owen SMG bayonet, with a scabbard. Features very good wooden grips, with ‘OA’ stamped blued steel pommel and working bayonet attachment button. The 20.5cm long, cut down and hand sharpened blade retains the majority of the blue-grey protective finish to the blade, with light use overall. Stamped OA (Orange Arsenal) & issue stamped 10 44 (October 1944). The metal scabbard is also in very good condition with “OA” & Mangrovite 44 manufacture stamps. Overall length 41.5cm.
